Introducing Iki, MIYABI’S new, limited-edition collection in honor of the Year of MIYABI, Iki means refined grace in Japanese, and this breakthrough collection takes inspiration from Seki, Japan’s, lush, scenic landscapes, including the ethereal moonlight that tenderly kisses the water of the surrounding lakes.
Breathtakingly beautiful and stunningly sharp, Iki is MIYABI’s most elegant and luxurious collection offering unparalleled precision and performance. Crafted with an advanced high-carbon, 49-layer MC66 steel to create our new “Moonlight” Damascus pattern, with an artfully carved “Shinogi” grind at the tip of the knife for an even sharper silhouette. Iki also boasts exquisite, intricately hand-carved handles featuring gentle curves designed to embody the lakes’ cascading waters. The Maple Burl handles provide exceptional durability and balance, with each one designed to correspond to a specific blade shape.
Santoku Knives feature slightly slimmer handles for gentler cuts, with longer, broader blades perfect for chopping, slicing and dicing meat, fish, and vegetables.
